I was born in Crestview, FL and grew up primarily in Longmont, Colorado. We moved to Springfield, OR from Cheyenne, WY in September of 2020. My better half and I bicycled highway 101 from California through Oregon into Washington and back in 2017, and I fell in love with Oregon, and have been rooting for the Ducks ever since! I have been working in Early Childhood Education for 10 years, mainly with infants and young toddlers, I have worked briefly with preschoolers. I have my Child Development Associates with Infant/Toddlers. I am currently pursuing my associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education, then will move on to my bachelor’s degree. In my spare time I enjoy riding my bike, spending time with my 12 year-old daughter, better half, and my 2 year-old dog, Freyda. I also enjoy scrapbooking and going to the beach!
After high school, I started working with children and infants in a childcare center while I pursued my associate’s degree. I love the many different milestones a child reaches and learns in the first year of their lives. How much a child retains and learns in such a short amount of time is so amazing to me! I love being a part of their growth and development in the early stages of their lives, and teaching children in a positive and safe environment is important to me! I have been an Early Childhood Associate Teacher in the Dreamer room at Vivian Olum since October of 2020.
