I am the Assistant Director for Education at Vivian Olum. In this role, main duties include supervising the teachers and assisting them with their curriculum development. I am also here to support parents. I have worked for the Oregon University System, both University of Oregon and Portland State University, for over 12 years. Most of those years were spent as a classroom teacher.

I was raised in NYC and have lived in Oregon since 2002. I raised my son in NYC, Eugene, and Portland. He is an adult now, doing adult things. He currently lives at home, and we have 4 dogs between us. Honestly, only one is his. In my spare time I love to knit, camp, traveling, eating and cooking and watching crime documentaries, movies, and going to the theater (particularly musicals).

I love children and this career has brought so many wonderful families into my life! I love collaborating, supporting and connecting with families and teachers in navigating this very rewarding and often challenging job of raising and teaching happy, resilient, confident and capable kids.
