I was born in Tijuana, Mexico and Spanish is my first language. Before making Eugene my home in 2021, I lived in San Diego, CA, and Yuma, AZ. I’ve spent about 20 years working in early childhood education and one thing I’ve learned along the way is that safe and nurturing environments are a fundamental pillar of healthy learning and development. In the classroom, I love watching children explore, experiment, try, fail and succeed- and being there to comfort and reassure them when the day gets challenging. Outside of work, I enjoy being outdoors, whether hiking, biking or swimming. I also like to relax by listening to alternative and punk rock music, reading or watching a TV show with my two children.
