I’ve been in the field of early childhood education for two decades, teaching young children for twelve years, serving as a Program Coordinator in a large urban childcare center for five years, and doing trainings and consulting work for the last nine years. I love sharing inspirations and connecting teachers and families to the core of why we work with young children. Play is at the heart of my pedagogy. Having received my masters in Human Development from Pacific Oaks College, I am inspired by progressive education, the work of educators in Reggio Emilia, the beauty of nature, anti-bias education and my students' joy in learning.
Recently transplanted from Philadelphia, I live in Cottage Grove with my wife and son, where I enjoy playing outdoors, hiking, gardening, kayaking, and doing pottery.
