I was born and raised in Bowie, Maryland right outside of Washington D.C. I graduated in the spring of 2019 with my bachelor’s in elementary education from the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD, go Terps!). After the completion of my undergraduate degree, I moved to Eugene with my partner who is a PhD student in the Organic Chemistry Department. Once we arrived in Eugene, I was able to transfer my teaching license from Maryland to Oregon, and I currently hold a preliminary teaching license in Oregon from PreK-12th grade.

During my undergraduate career I worked at the Center for Young Children at UMD for four years, and I am so happy to be working at a university child development center again! My partner and I live with our two cats, Boots and Small Cat, who we love very much! Currently, I’m a first year graduate student in the Early Intervention/Early Childhood Special Education master’s program at UO. I’m still pretty new to the west coast and I’m enjoying my time exploring all it has to offer!
