I’ve been working in early childhood education for the past 10 years. I started my career teaching English and (eventually) training teachers in Tokyo, Japan. As a result, a lot of my teaching style revolves around high energy, humor, and music (all things that helped me immensely abroad). I believe that children should first and foremost trust their teachers and have fun. If they yearn to come back to school day in and day out, the important lessons and skills that we teach them here will invariably fall into place. Outside of teaching, I spend my time swimming, lifting weights, playing guitar, playing/watching sports (Go Ducks!), and learning languages (I speak Japanese fluently and am intermediate in Spanish).
