After living in Santa Cruz, California, since second grade (1981), I moved to Eugene in 2016 with my wife and our then five year-old son. We love the seasons and all their differences here, enjoying what each one has to offer. Most weekends you will find me playing disc golf with my son and our mini Australian-Shepard, Tucson. We love to cook, a lot: baking, pickling and exploring flavors from around the world.
I began working with children when I was a teenager and studied Early Childhood Education at Cabrillo College in my early twenties. I have worked with adults who experience developmental disabilities as well. Once arriving in Eugene I began working for Early Childhood CARES as a substitute in preschool classrooms supporting children with developmental and physical disabilities. At the same time I was also employed by Oregon Supported Living Program (OSLP), assisting adults with disabilities. In the last quarter of 2019 I started at Olum as a sub and currently enjoy the company of the Builders kiddos and teachers on a daily basis.
