Reveal the artist within you in a week spent drawing, painting, designing collages and murals, through individual and group projects. Visit the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art to view their collections and get some hands on experience in their art lab.

SUMMER OLYMPICS & INTERNATIONAL GAMES
Let the games begin! Challenge yourself in simple sporting contests, races, and games from ancient Greece to the twenty-first century. Explore the different ways people from around the world play familiar games like tag, marbles, jump rope and more. Become inspired through a visit to the U.S. Olympic Trails on the UO campus.

WEEK THREE: JULY 7-11
OCEAN EXPLORATION
Did you know that the oceans cover 71 percent of the Earth's surface and contain 97 percent of the Earth's water? Learn more about the ocean and the many creatures that live in it. We'll become water creatures when we visit Splash! for some summerime fun.
WEEK FOUR: JULY 14-18
SCIENCE EXPERIMENTS
How does the world work? Discover the world of science around us by conducting daily science experiments. Join us on our adventures to the Science Factory and University science labs.
What are your favorite summertime foods? Enjoy the bounty of summer as we visit local farms and concoct the perfect summertime snacks. Collect fresh berries, fruits, and vegetables to make wonderful, healthy snacks. This is a week of snacking delight!
WEEK SIX: JULY 28-AUGUST 1
FOSSILS AND PREHISTORIC CREATURES
Dinosaurs, plesiosaurs - join us for a week of prehistoric discovery. Make your own fossils and visit the Museum of Natural and Cultural history.

WEEK SEVEN: AUGUST 4-8
NATURE WALK
Grab your walking shoes and join us as we explore our natural environment! Enjoy hiking Mt. Piscah and visiting the Leaburg Fish Hatchery. Throughout the week we'll take nature walks, create a nature journal, and expand our knowledge of the natural world around us.
WEEK EIGHT: AUGUST 11-15
ALL ABOUT ANIMALS
Domestic animals, wild animals, let's learn about the different animals and their habitats. We'll take trips to the Raptor Center and visit the animals at the Lane County Fair.

WEEK NINE: AUGUST 18-22
WORKING WITH CLAY
Get hands-on with clay. Learn new techniques and experiment with this form of earth's mud! Visit the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art and end the week with a project at Brushfire.

LUNCH, SNACKS AND ESSENTIALS
A light breakfast, snacks, milk and water
are provided by the Center. Children need to bring a portable bag
lunch from home to accommodate field trips, and impromptu picnics.
It is ESSENTIAL that children bring water
bottles, sunscreen, and comfortable walking shoes everyday. On days
when the weather is nice, water games or swimming are good possibilities.
A suit, towel or extra change of clothes will come in handy.
